Trip date: 3rd September 2021 – 5th September 2021
Trigonos is situated in Dyffryn Nantlle (the Nantlle Valley) in the Snowdonia National Park. An area of beauty and grandeur, the Nantlle valley offers a range of walks for all levels of experience. From challenging mountain climbs to easier woodland or lakeside paths, the peace and beauty of the area is unsurpassed. (Please note that we are only able to offer 4 yoga classes during this weekend due to a slightly earlier departure time from the venue on Sunday). The strenuous hiking option will take us up some of the mountains walks and the moderate hikes will stay lower down and explore some of the lake shores and gorgeous countryside
(please note that all the food at Trigonous is vegetarian).
This will be our second Wales Yoga Hikes expedition to Trigonos in Snowdonia. We have a fantastic location and base at Trigonos with great views of the lakes and mountains.

Our accommodation is in a fantastic location with many and varied walks available.
For this event we are able to offer a choice of hike each day : a more strenuous hike or moderate hike.
You will be asked to sign up for the hikes of your choice upon arrival.
Walk options will depend on the weather and current conditions. However, these are typical options and if the weather is suitable we will be offering these walks, or similar. If the conditions are not suitable the walk options will be reduced, but we will still offer walks whatever the weather.
Note: If you have been with us before where there has only been a single group hike, this will be equivalent to the moderate hike here. The strenuous options are faster paced, cover more distance, height gain and descent and over some rougher ground. To sign up for the strenuous hikes, you must have a good level of fitness and some experience of hill or mountain walking.
Strenuous Option Saturday : summit of Snowdon Sunday : summit of Elephant Mountain.
These options are weather dependent, if the weather forecast is unsafe, we will amend the walk options
Please note all strenuous hikes will be led by qualified Mountain Leaders
Please note for the strenuous walks, a good level of hill fitness and hill or mountain walking experience is required as there will be longer sections of ascent and descent, on rough terrain at a faster pace than the moderate hikes.
Moderate Option Saturday : Aberglasyn circular from Nant More Sunday : base of Elephant Mountain.
The moderate walks will be lower level and more leisurely and again subject to weather conditions.
For this weekend we are able to offer yoga classes according to ability and experience and we will ask for your choice of class upon booking.
We have found that we do have a wide range of ability during our weekends from beginners to teachers. So for this weekend, at each yoga session slot there will be an improver/gentler class for those who are new or returning to yoga, (also suitable for those who may have an injury or a specific concern) and also an intermediate class for those who practice regularly, or those with a longstanding practice.
Yoga classes will take place on Friday evening before dinner, Saturday morning before breakfast, Saturday evening after our hike and Sunday morning before breakfast. On our other breaks we are also able to offer a final class before departures on Sunday, but for this weekend this is not available as there is another group arriving at the venue so we have a slightly earlier departure time from 230pm.
We will have two dedicated yoga rooms on the ground floor and looking out over the gardens.
There will be two yoga teachers who will teach the classes and will split the classes so irrespective of your level, you will have two teachers over the weekend.
The general focus of the morning sessions will be to energise and warm up the body for our walk, and in the evening , will be to stretch out those tired muscles and relax the body. There will be an emphasis on the breath and movement, and our priority is for the yoga to be enjoyable and safe for all.
Yoga mats and props will be provided but you are most welcome to bring your own mat if you prefer.
Everyone who has been on one of these weekends all agree that yoga and hiking compliment each other perfectly and make for the ideal weekend getaway.
Any queries regarding the yoga sessions, please contact us.
