Our accommodation is in a fantastic location with many and varied walks available.
For this event we are able to offer a choice of hike for the first two days : a more strenuous hike or moderate hike.
You will be asked to sign up for the hikes of your choice before arrival.
Walk options will depend on the weather and current conditions. However, these are typical options and if the weather is suitable we will be offering these walks, or similar. If the conditions are not suitable, the walk options will be reduced, but we will still offer walks whatever the weather.
Note: If you have been with us before where there has only been a single group hike, this will be equivalent to the moderate hike here. The strenuous options are faster paced, cover more distance, height gain and descent and over some rougher ground. To sign up for the strenuous hikes, you must have a good level of fitness and some experience of hill or mountain walking.
Strenuous Option Saturday : summit of Mynydd Mawr. Sunday : summit of Snowdon
Moderate Option Saturday : base of Mynydd Mawr. Sunday : Aberglasyn circular from Nant Mor
Monday will be a more leisurely shorter group hike for everyone around the lake and exploring the local area.
These options are weather dependent, if the weather forecast is unsafe, we will amend the walk options
Please note all strenuous hikes will be led by qualified Mountain Leaders
Please note for the strenuous walks, a good level of hill fitness and hill or mountain walking experience is required as there will be longer sections of ascent and descent, on rough terrain at a faster pace than the moderate hikes.
Monday will be a more leisurely group hike for everyone around the lake and exploring the local area.
The moderate walks will be lower level and more leisurely and again subject to weather conditions.
We offer a yoga class on Friday evening before dinner, then two yoga classes each day on Saturday and Sunday, and a final class on Monday morning. So six classes in total.
Sessions will take place on Friday evening to get you in the mood for the weekend, then Saturday and Sunday before breakfast and after we return from our walks on Saturday and Sunday. The general focus of the morning sessions will be to energise and warm up the body for our walk, and in the evening , will be to stretch out those tired muscles and relax the body. There will be an emphasis on the breath and movement, and our priority is for the yoga to be enjoyable and safe for all.
Please bring your own yoga mat and pillow case as a minimum. Other yoga equipment is provided (brick, block, strap, bolster, blanket and scented eye pillow), but you may prefer to bring your own if you have any.
Everyone who has been on one of these weekends all agree that yoga and hiking compliment each other perfectly and make for the ideal weekend getaway.
Any queries regarding the yoga sessions, please contact us.
