Nab Cottage Hiking and Yoga break is set in a typical and historic Lake District cottage. The cottage is cosy with heaps of character and was even frequented by William Wordsworth who used to live nearby. We also have the luxury of a modern and purpose built yoga studio for our yoga classes and beautiful walks from the door for our guided hikes each day.
Our July 2020 Rydal Hall Yoga Hiking Weekend is based at the very grand and historic Rydal Hall. We are just a few minutes walk from Rydal Water, Rydal Mount (Wordsworth’s home) and the picturesque church where William Wordsworth was church warden. There will also be five yoga classes over the weekend, tailored to ability : either improver/gentler or intermediate for those with some more yoga experience. There is also a choice of either a moderate hike or more strenuous hike each day.
An early spring break to improve your yoga practice and explore the gorgeous countryside and stunning views in this area of the Lake District. There will be 5 yoga classes plus 2 guided hikes and all food and accommodation is included.
Stay with us in a 16th Century cottage for a very special Lake District yoga hiking weekend. Nab Cottage is a traditional cottage, standing alone on the side of Rydal Water, in the centre of the English Lake District. The cottage was once the home of opium-smoking Thomas De Quincey, an acquaintance of the poets Coleridge and Wordsworth. The situation is idyllic; surrounded by mountains in the heart of the valley, yet only 2 miles from Ambleside and Grasmere.
For this yoga and hiking weekend, we will be based at the historic Rydal Hall, which is beautifully situated in the small village of Rydal, close to the lake and between Grasmere and Ambleside. Rydal has one of the smallest lakes in the lake district, but is in a picturesque and unspoilt corner of the Lakes, offering ample opportunities for walking.
