Our last Yoga Hiking weekend of the year was at Nab Cottage near Rydal. An amazing cosy cottage with a fantastic history and a perfect studio for the yoga sessions.
On Saturday we headed out and made our way along Loughrigg Terrace and round to Grasmere.
Before returning along the ancient coffin trail via White Moss.
After a lovely pasta lunch and warming tea and coffee at Nab, we headed out for our afternoon walk around Rydal Water and up to Alcock Tarn.
We even felt the need for a little bit of extra yoga around the tarn, although I must admit it does look more like a highland fling.
We made it back for large amounts of tea and Yen’s homemade chocolate brownies before our last yoga session of the day and then dinner.
Sunday started with a lie in, as the clocks had gone back, before our first yoga class of the day and then breakfast.
Our Sunday walk was essentially a circuit of Loughrigg Fell. So we followed the river Rothay towards Ambleside and then cut off right up to Lilly Tarn.
Then a short walk over to the viewpoint at Todd Crag.
And just a bit more yoga for Aniko.
Next stop was the very picturesque and quiet Loughrigg Tarn.
A final walk back up towards Loughrigg Terrace and then back to the cottage for lots more tea and cake, before our final yoga session of the weekend.
