Autumn Nab Cottage Yoga & Hiking Break

Our Autumn Nab Cottage Yoga Hikes break in the heart of the Lake District, was a great weekend. We have a stunning studio for Yoga and gorgeous views across the Lake at Nab Cottage and we had a fantastic group, who joined us for the weekend.

Nab Cottage is also steeped in the history of the Lake District where William Wordsworth and the Lake District poets were frequent visitors.

Our group joined us on Friday afternoon ready to prepare for our first yoga class of our Autumn Nab Cottage break at 6pm.

Despite its history and age we have an ideal modern studio at Nab Cottage, which is perfect for our practice.

Then after our first yoga class its in for a lovely home cooked vegetarian dinner, prepared for us by the staff at Nab.

We start Saturday morning with our first yoga class of the day to wake up and prepare our bodies for the days hike. Then after a delicious cooked breakfast we head out for our first hike of the weekend.

The weather is overcast and some light rain, but doesn’t deter us from our days hike around Grasmere, then into the village. We then head up to Easdale tarn beside the river and waterfalls of Sour milk Gill.

The weather cheers up our way back from Grasmere in the afternoon as we get some lovely views over Rydal Water.

We arrive back to Nab Cottage in perfect time for tea, coffee and cake. We then have a break which some people take full advantage of for a dip in the hot Tub, before our late afternoon Yoga Class.

Its a lovely day for a hike, with stunning autumn colours and patches of brilliant sunshine. Our hike today takes us towards Ambleside then up to Todd Crag and Lilly tarn for gorgeous views over Windermere.

We get more great views as we hike around Loughrigg Fell.

Before finally emerging onto Loughrigg Terrace for stunning views over Grasmere.

I think everyone had an enjoyable weekend, judging by some of the comments emailed to us and left on Facebook after the weekend:

“Thanks for a wonderful weekend!!! ?” – CC
“Brilliant weekend!” – SE
“Fab weekend. – so well looked after . Kevin and Yen are perfect hosts ?” – DA
