We have a lot of great weekend breaks planned in the Lake District, Scotland and longer trips in the Alps, Bulgaria and Nepal for 2015. So we will be holding a social evening and giving a short talk about the events in the Dining Room at The Old Bank of England Pub at 7pm on Thursday 12th February. We will be there from 6pm so please aim to arrive early, grab a drink and introduce yourself to us. We have the Dining Room upstairs booked just for our group and the website for the pub is:
(Note: we had originally booked Cotswold but as the event was very popular, Cotswold were concerned about numbers. It also means we can enjoy a drink while talking).
The purpose of the evening will be for you to meet us (if you haven’t already), hear more about the trips we are running in 2015 and then to ask any questions you may have.
We will also be giving some advice on equipment for weekend walking in the lakes, Scotland and trekking in the Alps. We will bring a rucksack packed and ready to go trekking, make some recommendations on what to take and what to leave behind and some essential differences in kit between men and women on trek.
The talks will be around 45 minutes in total and then we will be free to get another drink and to answer any more questions you have, or just to chat.
We will be talking about all of the Lakes trips, Ben Nevis and the Tour Du Mont Blanc, Alpine walking week, Bulgaria and Nepal but with a special focus on the Tour Du Mont Blanc and Alpine walking week trips and include recommendations on fitness, what to expect, accommodation, food and packing light for the treks.
As of end of Jan we had 48 people signed up, so please email us if you plan on coming along.
